Library Fines Forgiveness (January 21 - 31)

Do you have overdue library materials with fines pending or outstanding fines?

Come to the Library and return your overdue items. Ask us about your overdue fines.

Whatever the reason for not returning an item, students with overdue materials or fines can start fresh at the Library again.

We will cut your fines in half. You will only have to pay for half of your fines!

All of the money we collect will go towards a SAIT Student Scholarship program sponsored by SAIT's Learner Success Centre.

Student achievement and success are very important to us!

Did you know...

Sait Polytechnic was originally known as the Provincial Institute of Technology and Art?

Like many other long running institutions, Sait has seen it's official title change since opening nearly a century ago. First named the Provincial Institute of Technology and Art, the institute was renamed the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1960, reflecting the opening of the school's northern counterpart, NAIT, just a year earlier. This would not be the last change in title, however, as in 2004 SAIT was once again rebranded as Sait Polytechnic ; a name better reflecting the nature of the school's programs and it's relation to Polytechnics Canada.
To find out more about the long history of Sait and the many changes the institute has undergone, please contact the Sait Archives or view our online collections.
