"Decorate and Donate" for the United Way

Beautifully decorated wreaths and trees can still be donated for the Silent Auction with all proceeds going to the United Way.

Come Bid and Win! Visit the library and make a bid on these wonderful Christmas items that are on display at the front of the library. Bidding forms are posted beside each wreath. Bids close at noon on December 16th. Library staff will be available to take final bids and accept payments at that time.

Share the spirit of Christmas! This is such a good cause and the money raised for this event will be used throughout the year to help Calgary’s needy people.

Deck the Library for United Way

Help Deck the Library with beautifully decorated trees and wreaths. Starting Monday, Nov 21st, SAIT departments, individuals and schools will be displaying them at the SAIT Library. Items will be donated for a silent auction with all proceeds going to the United Way. The Library will welcome these items anytime from Monday, Nov 21st to Friday, Dec 9th.

Susan Brayford, Library Manager and staff are excited about displaying them in support of SAIT's United Way Change Starts Here campaign. Susan says, "The Christmas Wreath and Silent Auction is an excellent way to create the Christmas mood as well as helping those who don't have much to celebrate at Christmas. The wreath that the SAIT Library staff created is already on display. Hopefully, we can inspire departments to participate as well."

You can bid on a tree and/or wreath that you would like to take home or give as a gift. Feel good about giving back to others in need.

Gwen Hoar, who is running this silent auction, expresses "What better way to share the spirit of Christmas that to donate lovely Christmas wreaths & trees to SAIT's United Way Silent Auction. Money raised will be used throughout the year to help Calgary's needy people."

Bids can be emailed to Gwen Hoar starting Monday, Dec 12th to 12 noon on Friday, Dec 16th.

The Christmas spirit is alive and well in the SAIT Library this year.
